Art House Gallery is excited to present: “Attachment”, a solo exhibition of new paintings, drawings and installations by Lisa Ficarelli-Halpern from November 7 – 29, 2020. Please join us for the artist’s reception on Saturday, November 7th, from 2 to 4pm. Eight guests at a time / masks required. This show includes over a dozen recent oil paintings and drawings on canvas, as well as three dimensional installations complementing the two-dimensional artworks. Recalling the content and technical virtuosity of old masterworks, Ficarelli-Halpern’s paintings and drawings provide a visual feast as well as an expressive message of symbolic and referential significance. Playing on the theme of “attachment,” the show features ribbon as visual connective material between the objects and figures. Her recent artwork, “The Garden, after Bosch,” features ribbon as a compositional armature, referencing the artist’s ongoing interest in describing humanity’s ever-growing connection through technological means.
